About Debbie

Debbie Vernon has a long family history in Muskoka that dates back to a time when her great-grand dad Harry Penney came to settle on Lake Rosseau known as “Shennamere” following the passage of the Free Grants and Homesteads Act in 1868.   She grew up on Brackenrig Bay near Port Carling where her grandfather Dudley owned and operated Penney’s Sawmill for several decades.

Upon completion of her post graduate studies Debbie worked for people with developmental disabilities both in Alberta and Ontario before changing careers in 1999 selling real estate in her home community in Muskoka.  She is still involved by volunteering, advocating and helping people related to disability issues and housing.

Debbie is Past President (2006) of her real estate board, served as a Director for the Muskoka Haliburton Orillia- the Lakelands Association of REALTORS® for several years and presently President-elect for the Ontario Realtor’s Care Foundation®.  Debbie is a founding Director of the Friends of the Muskoka Watershed and member of the Muskoka Watershed Council.

In her down time, Debbie enjoys camping, canoeing and photography in the various Provincial Parks, downhill skiing and spending time with her family in her home on the Muskoka River.

No matter what stage of life you are at, Debbie can help. As a full time licensed REALTOR® her main goal is to best represent your interests in every aspect.   Her service offers exacting focus with attention to detail backed with years of experience and knowledge, integrity and honesty with a forte of solid negotiating skills.  You will receive the most professional attention helping you buy or sell real estate in Muskoka.
